Product Description

True or English Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) is actually not native to Englant but the Meditteranean. A very well know plant in the English garden, grown for the aromatic flowers. Very easy to grow, survives dry conditions. The flowers are delicious in pasta dishes, drinks or as a decoration in summer salads. Sow the true lavender seeds thinly indoors in early spring from late February till May. The germination can be slow. Cover the seeds with sieved compost and place at a temperature of 15 - 20 Celsius. Prick out he seedlings to individual pots when large enough to handle and grow them on inside. Alternatively you can sow 2 seeds per small pot. And grow the seedlings on inside. Germination can be slow. Make sure you don't overwater the young seedlings. Plant the seedlings to final position, in full sun and preferably a good soil. Flowers from second year from June to October year after year.
